Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder and his Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann are leading the list of the CSU in Central Franconia for the state elections in autumn. Söder was elected first at the delegates’ meeting in Erlangen on Saturday, Herrmann follows in second place. The proposed list of candidates was approved by a large majority in the bloc.
“May lead the list in #Middle Franconia together with Joachim Herrmann, the best interior minister in Germany,” said Söder on Twitter after the election.
For the October 8 election, the Christian Socialists are drawing up such a list of candidates in each of the seven Bavarian districts. As the nationwide top candidate of the CSU, Söder should later be nominated.
