Keanu Reeves is clearly in a good mood during his band Dogstar’s European tour. What does that mean for his existence as a Hollywood star?

Keanu Reeves (59) is not only a master of acting – he has also been active as a musician in the band Dogstar since 1991. Current pictures from the Dogstar tour show once again how much he is enjoying taking a break from Hollywood and rocking Europe instead. Last Tuesday (June 25th), Reeves and his two band colleagues Robert Mailhouse (62, drums) and Bret Domrose (55, guitar) were at work in Zagreb (Croatia) and warmed up the guests of the INmusic Festival there on Lake Jarun.

In a simple black outfit and with obvious joy, Reeves plucked his bass guitar, like recordings from the concert Again and again he looked at the cheering crowd, beaming with joy but with his usual reserve.

Back in the recording studio because of Corona

Just two weeks ago, Reeves was seen at the German twin festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Next up are gigs in Serbia at Arsenal Fest 2024 (June 27-29), before heading to Italy for two concerts (June 29 and 30). The band will then tour the USA from August 8.

The fact that Keanu Reeves is back on bass and on stage is “thanks” to the Corona lockdown. Because the cinema industry was also completely at a standstill at the time, the three band members found themselves back in the recording studio after a long break and wrote new songs. The result was the album “Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees”, released in October 2023.

Also very busy in Hollywood

By the way, no Reeves fan needs to worry about only being able to see his favorite actor on the music stage and not on the big screen. according to the industry website “IMDb” At the moment, there are seven cinema productions in the works with him in one of the main roles. These include the sequel to “Constantine”, the “John Wick” spin-off “Ballerina” and the new Ruben Östlund film “The Entertainment System Is Down”, in which Daniel Brühl (46), Kirsten Dunst (42) and Joel Edgerton (50) also appear. In short: The entertainment system will not have to shut down any time soon because of Reeves.
