SPD parliamentary group leader calls for the resignation of the health minister – Bavaria

Is there a minister whose resignation he has not yet called for? As is well known, SPD faction leader Florian von Brunn likes to deny cabinet members the suitability, that’s how the question came up in a conversation with the SZ in January. Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU), said Brunn. Demand: Are you sure? Brunn seemed unsure for a moment: Didn’t I?

“You’ve misconducted. Give it back!” Brunn called out to Holetschek on Thursday evening in the plenary session. Whether this is considered an official demand for resignation was still controversial in SPD circles on Friday – it wasn’t in a speech, but in the heated turmoil. The latter was undoubtedly the debate about Bavaria’s departure from compulsory vaccination in health professions. Holetschek emphasized again that there were no federal enforcement rules for the individual examination of the health authorities, the SPD had “messed up”. The allegations that Prime Minister Markus Söder is damaging the rule of law and endangering human life are “fuzzy to the power of three”. Brunn had accused the CSU of both, that Söder was constructing “a fictitious problem in order to capitalize on it”. Beatrix Zurek, Munich SPD health officer, reported to him that the implementation of partial vaccination works, she has already assigned people to do so. Holetschek countered that Brunn was sitting in the “ivory tower” and that he had to talk to officials “outside” instead of “just to Ms. Zurek in big Munich.” To be continued, Holteschek will make a Corona government statement on Tuesday.
