Lisa Fitz caused a stir with her appearance on the SWR program “Spätschicht”. Channel 3sat therefore deleted the show from its program.

The SWR program “Spätschicht” comes on television once a month and is usually repeated by 3sat. Not so last Friday: Instead of the “late shift”, Florian Schroeder (42) ran a stage program on 3sat. The reason was an appearance by cabaret artist Lisa Fitz (70), who spread conspiracy myths about the corona pandemic in the “late shift”. The SWR then had to face sharp criticism. A “taz” report sparked a debate on social media.

The SWR defended the broadcast of the program and, according to media reports, invoked freedom of expression. The broadcast can still be accessed in the ARD media library. A ZDF spokesman, however, told the “taz” on Saturday that 3sat “reacted to the discussion about the program ‘Spätschicht’ and neither broadcast the program nor put it in the 3sat media library”. The show was originally broadcast on SWR on December 10th and was to be repeated on 3sat on Friday evening.
