The shock took place on Monday afternoon around 2.15 p.m. as the train approached Angers. A TER struck a person who was on the rails, at Savennières (Maine-et-Loire), indicates the SNCF. The victim died. Strong disruptions are underway on the Nantes-Angers line, whose traffic, completely interrupted, should not resume before 5 p.m.
According to the SNCF, two trains are notably blocked in the middle of the track: the TER involved in the accident, which was carrying 70 passengers (between Nantes and Rennes via Sablé), has just left for Angers. A TGV which linked Paris to Le Croisic must also be routed to the same destination.
