The SNCF opens its ticket office for the summer holidays from this Tuesday. You can now book your tickets on the website of the railway company. Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, repayment facilities are maintained, says the group in a press release.

The company is putting on sale this Tuesday “TGV Inoui, Ouigo, Intercités and TGV Internationaux” tickets for the period from July 3 to August 29, 2021 inclusive. Sales of Ouigo tickets are open for travel until December 11 inclusive. “In order to allow a reservation in all serenity for the Easter and summer holidays”, all these tickets will be “exchangeable and refundable free of charge up to three days before the date of departure”, specified the SNCF.

Reduced traffic

The rail group had already announced that trips booked up to and including April 18 are exchangeable and refundable free of charge until the last moment. For Ouigo, the ticket is refunded until 1h30 before departure.

SNCF announced Monday the reduction in TGV traffic, partial containment measures in part of the country having further reduced attendance. Since the start of the year, the group has been running one in three TGVs on average, with a drop in attendance of around 50% compared to normal. But demand fell further with the announcement of the new health measures and bookings in April were down 65% compared to 2019.
