Has it benefited from the “bonus for graduates” and graduates which has largely benefited at the national level the presidents of the regions in place? Valérie Pécresse, currently at the head of Ile-de-France, arrives well ahead of her competitors in the first round of regional elections on Sunday, distancing five lists with the possibility of remaining in the second round, according to initial estimates from polling institutes .

Valérie Pécresse receives between 34.2% of the votes according to Ipsos / Sopra Steria, 36.2% for Ifop-Fiducial for TF1 and LCI and 36.4% Elabe), ahead of RN Jordan Bardella (between 13.0 and 13.9 ) and the ecologist Julien Bayou (between 12.5 and 13.7), who tops the left lists, followed by Laurent Saint-Martin (LREM) (between 11.8 and 12), Audrey Pulvar (PS) (between 10.5 and 11.8) and Clémentine Autain (LFI) (between 10.0 and 10.2).

“With this first round, a dynamic is engaged but we must make it even stronger”, reacted the outgoing president, lambasting a “sectarian left”.

“We are going to create a surprise by bringing together the lists on the left, I will discuss with Clémentine Autain and Audrey Pulvar”, promised Julien Bayou, announcing a possible union of the left.
