Your Majesties have bad teeth. In Marie Kreutzer’s film “Corsage”, which was shown this summer, there is this mad scene in which Sisi, the Empress of Austria, and the Bavarian King Ludwig give each other a little human warmth in the midst of the cold of the high aristocracy. Historically unlikely, but felt right, they are in bed together. The fairy tale king, played by Manuel Rubey, turns very close to the camera and empress, smiles sweetly, and brown, rotten teeth emerge.
