The news has just fallen on the other side of the Alps. After a long battle with leukemia, Sinisa Mihajlovic succumbed to the disease at the age of 53. He was still coach of Bologna until last September, before deciding to take a step back to try to win this fight, in vain. He had already had to put his coaching career on hold in July 2019 to fight the disease.

A key figure in Italy, the former central defender had a great career as a player in what was then called Yugoslavia (Red Star Belgrade in particular), before crossing the Adriatic Sea to wear the colors of Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter, with whom he will be champion of Italy. Having become a coach, he led Bologna, Fiorentina, AC Milan and even Serbia, he who was a Yugoslav international then Serbian-Montenegrin 63 times (10 goals).
