Singer-songwriter Rolf Zuckowski has a sweet tooth. And a Christmas fan. That is why the advent calendar should not be missing in the run-up to Christmas.
For the Hamburg singer-songwriter Rolf Zuckowski (75, “In der Weihnachtsbäckerei”), advent calendars are an essential part of the pre-Christmas period.
“For years, my wife has hung a felt Santa Claus with such small rings, 24 pieces. And on each ring there was a small candy that she thought up,” said Zuckowski of the German Press Agency in Hamburg. These were mainly filled with liquorice – “because I particularly like them”.
This year there are even three advent calendars at Zuckowski. “We got one as a gift. We ordered one that only had nuts. And I bought one that only had liquorice in it.”
