The first sentence eliminates this illusion: “Hello everyone! This is Shou, I’m the boss of Tiktok.” A few seconds later it becomes clear why the top Tiktoker is targeting the 150 million users in the USA. “This is a pivotal moment for us,” says Chew. “Some politicians have started talking about banning Tiktok.”
