Shooting Stars – Young cinema in the second: fresh films at a late hour

The best TV program comes late at night. That has actually always been the case, but it is particularly true during the summertime: when the evening chatter at Anne Will, Sandra Maischberger or Maybrit Illner pauses and even Markus Lanz is resting, the public broadcasters finally have space to give the youngsters a chance admit. An integral part is the “Shooting Stars” series, where ZDF has been presenting the works of young directors for years. There are four films this year, including Sinje Köhler’s feather-light holiday film “Viva Forever”. It starts tonight with “Kids Run” by Barbara Ott with Jannis Niewöhner.
