Serious threat or bad joke? Several high schools were the target of threatening messages or bomb threats at the start of the week, prompting the evacuation of the establishments concerned. In Seine-Maritime alone, in the agglomeration of Rouen, six high schools or colleges are concerned, confirms the prefecture of the department to 20 minutesafter information revealed by The Parisian. These are the Grieu trades high school in Rouen, the Gustave-Flaubert high school in Rouen, the Fontenelle college in Rouen, the Marcel-Sembat high school in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, the Fernand-Léger high school in Grand-Couronne and the CFA Simone-Veil in Rouen.
“No threat has been confirmed at this stage,” according to the prefecture. The educational establishments concerned were, however, evacuated “in order to allow the national police to initiate a protocol to resolve doubts. In this context, an in-depth visit to the premises of educational establishments will be organized,” continues the prefecture. An investigation was also opened and entrusted to the territorial direction of the judicial police.
Evacuation in Tarbes and Seine-Saint-Denis
Other departments are also affected. An evacuation of students from the Marie-Curie high school, in Tarbes (Hautes-Pyrénées), was confirmed 20 minutes by the Toulouse rectorate. “Following the alert at the Marie-Curie high school in Tarbes, the students were evacuated this morning, and the prefecture services and the Internal Security Forces (FSI) were notified. The mine clearance operation is now close to being completed. Classes will resume peacefully for all students,” explained the rectorate.
Two establishments in Seine-Saint-Denis were also evacuated following a bomb threat triggered by this email sent to the Paul-Eluard high school, cited by Le Figaro : “I planted a bomb in the establishment, I will come and exterminate all the kuffars with my Kalashnikov from Yemen. » “Following this bomb threat, a survey was carried out by specialized dogs. Another school located near the high school was also evacuated as a security measure,” according to a police source interviewed by the daily.
