After a neighbor heard shots in a residential area in Upper Franconia, a special task force arrived, among other things. As the police announced on Friday, the emergency services in Selb (district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge) temporarily arrested a 40-year-old man. He is said to have fired a blank pistol on his balcony on Thursday. Firearms and paintball guns were seized during the search of the home. According to the information, the man violated the Weapons Protection Act due to incorrect storage. Overall, several patrols, the federal police and the special task force were deployed.
