When a tiger escaped from a circus in Paris a few years ago, the spook was over pretty quickly. The animal escaped from its cage on a Friday afternoon and was soon spotted by passers-by who alerted the fire brigade. Tram traffic in the area in the south-west of the French capital was suspended for half an hour, after all it was the owner himself who shot the 200-kilogram big cat in the early evening.
