Venues of the Ice Hockey World Championship

The 2023 Ice Hockey World Championship was originally supposed to take place in St. Petersburg. But due to the war of aggression against Ukraine, the World Federation IIHF withdrew the World Championship from Russia on April 26, 2022.

The game is now played in the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland (capacity: 13,500 spectators) and in the Arena Riga in the Latvian capital of Riga (Capacity: 10 300 spectators). The quarter-finals will still take place with two games each in both cities, semi-finals and finals will then only be played in Tampere.
