There could be movement in the deadlocked dispute over a successor model for the nine-euro ticket. Before the conference of transport ministers, Saxony-Anhalt proposed a model with graduated age groups. According to this, young people up to and including the age of 25 could have a nationwide ticket for nine euros, including bicycle transport in local and regional transport. In return, all discounts and subsidies for school, trainee or student tickets on the municipal and state side would be eliminated. These funds could be used to co-finance the youth mobile ticket.
