In the debate about local development and the construction of the high school in the east of Sauerlach, the CSU is increasing the pressure on Mayor Barbara Bogner (UBV). The head of the CSU municipal parliamentary group, Michael Hohenleitner, now has to conduct urban planning negotiations about the scope and timeline, especially of housing construction in the new “Sauerlach Ost” district. There, an investor is planning – in addition to building the high school – residential development for up to 1200 residents as well as a medical center, sports facilities and a daycare center. However, there is disagreement in the municipal council as to the scope. Bogner had recently criticized the CSU for holding the debate in public. CSU local chairman Markus Hoffmann describes this as “outrageous”; this would exclude anyone who wanted to help shape the local development.
