Attorneys representing Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) in the FTX lawsuit are set to agree revised bail terms with Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York, the move comes after Kaplan expressed frustration over the Secretly using SBF’s encrypted messaging app and VPN service while on bail.
In legal proceedings regarding the collapse of FTX, SBF was released on $250 million bail. to contact former colleagues of FTX and Alameda, leading Judge Kaplan to prohibit SBF from using the app. and threatened to revoke his bail if he committed further treachery.
In this order, Bankman-Fried’s lawyer Christian Everdell revealed on March 18 that the SBF and federal prosecutors “We are working on agreeing specific bail terms. which will address government and court concerns.” Bloomberg Newsreport
“We believe we are close to a settlement. These conditions are expected to be finalized in court within the next week.”
