Under circumstances that are still unclear, a youth was killed by a gun in Schiffweiler. The police arrested an 18-year-old.
A 17-year-old youth was killed with a gun in Schiffweiler, Saarland. An 18-year-old has been arrested for a suspected homicide, as the Saarbrücken police headquarters announced early Tuesday morning. According to previous investigations, the later victim, a witness and the suspect were in the basement of the 18-year-old.
In the course of the evening, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, “a shot was fired” and the 17-year-old died, it said. The witness ran away and then called the police. They came with “strong forces” and found the suspect and a couple who lived on the property on site. Investigators then found the alleged murder weapon and the lifeless body of the victim.
According to the information, a possible motive and the course of events are still unclear. The 18-year-old was arrested without resistance. He is due to appear before a magistrate shortly.
