Suspected Russian spy ring busted in Poland

Nine people have been arrested in Poland on suspicion of spying for Russia. According to the authorities, the alleged members of a Russian spy ring are said to have planned acts of sabotage in the EU country and monitored railway lines used to transport weapons to Ukraine. Interior Minister Mariusz Kamiński said at a press conference that the nine people arrested by the domestic intelligence service – three of the arrests were made on Wednesday – had tried to sabotage the supply of equipment and weapons to the country under Russian attack. The agents also seized cameras, electronic equipment and GPS transmitters that the accused wanted to attach to transports for the Unkraine.

Commemoration of attack on theater in Mariupol

In his nightly video speech, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commemorated the victims of a bomb attack on a theater in Mariupol a year ago. “Russian bombs destroyed the Mariupol theater, a building that was being used as a shelter. Inside were women and children,” the president said. The day will come when those guilty of war crimes against Ukraine “will appear in the halls of the International Criminal Court and in national courtrooms,” Zelenskyy said.
