Russian troops have gained a foothold in the heavily contested town of Soledar in eastern Ukraine, and are said to have even conquered the town. The German Foreign Minister is the first German cabinet member to visit the city of Kharkiv, which was badly damaged by the war. The trip was previously kept secret.
