The traffic jams in Starnberg are legendary. The thousands of day trippers on the weekend have long known: patience is required before going into the lake. The Starnbergers themselves usually stand bumper to bumper in rush hour traffic – and dream of being able to take a route across the water. Like Maraike from Samson-Himmelstjerna, who goes to work every day with her stand-up paddle board (SUP).
