Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will not be at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium when the new Champions League season begins for FC Bayern against Inter Milan this Wednesday. Unfortunately, he said, he had to turn down invitations from both clubs because of another appointment. And that fits a bit with the impression that Rummenigge makes in the café in Grünwald, which he chose as the place for the conversation: 14 months after retiring as CEO at FC Bayern, he seems quite happy with football, no longer in day-to-day business to have to do.
