Meghan’s confidants have their say: Why the BBC is accused of one-sidedness

Even days later, the controversial BBC documentary about the British royals caused a bad mood among William, Charles and Co. Parts of the British press accuse the creators of one-sided reporting.
The two-part BBC documentary “The Princes and the Press” could drive a wedge between the Royal Family and the public broadcaster. Because Prince William and Prince Charles are said to be outraged by the two episodes in which, among other things, the dispute between brothers is discussed.

The “Daily Mail”, which is known for causing riot, agrees with their criticism. That is not surprising, after all, the newspaper has been criticizing the dropouts Meghan and Harry for some time. Royal expert Richard Kay argues that the BBC documentary is one-sided because people close to Meghan and Harry are allowed to speak, but no one from the other side. More precisely: from Prince William, Prince Charles or the Queen.
One person from Team Sussex is Meghan’s attorney Jenny Afia, who, according to Kay, spoke on behalf of the Duchess. She defended Meghan in the documentary, emphasizing that the American was by no means difficult to deal with. She was also asked about the bullying allegations against Meghan, saying that she could “under no circumstances” imagine that Meghan had done something like that.
Confidants of Meghan and Harry speak
But not only Afia plays a role in the documentary. Omid Scobie, author of the biography “Finding Freedom”, also has a say. He is also considered a close confidante of the Sussexes. “There have been rumors for some time that many of the most harmful and negative stories come from other royal households or other royal aides. Kay argues that if Meghan and Harry’s confidante were allowed to talk, the BBC should have involved the other side as well.
