Progress. Praising their record since the purchase of ASSE for six million euros, including “the 56 European games played”, the two shareholders of the Saint-Etienne club especially publicly announce their intention to hand over.
“In order to ensure the continuity and development of our club, we have entrusted a reputable investment bank with the mission of selecting the best investor. We will ensure that this new shareholder has the appropriate means to grow the club, guarantee employment and perpetuate its identity. We will be vigilant so that the handover can take place in continuity and in serenity ”, indicate the leaders in this letter published by Progress.
Romeyer and Caïazzo ready to sell the club for 20 million euros?
Respectively chairman of the executive board of the Greens and of the supervisory board, Roland Romeyer (75 years) and Bernard Caïazzo (67 years) precisely lacked “serenity” for many months. They know they are extremely criticized by the main groups of supporters of ASSE who, failing to be able to attend the matches in the Cauldron this season, multiply the banners at L’Etrat to demand the resignation of the presidents.
In an interview with Goal ! last week, the mayor of Saint-Etienne Gaël Perdriau also considered that “the club needs a new lease of life”.
