In 2023, numerous festival-goers will be celebrating again at Rock am Ring.

From June 2nd to 4th, music fans will get their money’s worth in the Eifel and in Nuremberg. Here you can find all information about Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.

Next weekend there will again be a big music party in the south and west of the country at the same time: in Nuremberg and at the Nürburgring in the Eifel, national and international acts will be performing. All information about the twin festivals.

Venues

Rock im Park has been taking place in Nuremberg since 1997. Since 2004, festival-goers have been welcomed with interruptions to the Zeppelin Field, part of the former NSDAP Nazi Party Rally Grounds. There are the stages Utopia Stage, Mandora Stage and Orbit Stage. If you are arriving by public transport, the organizers recommend the S-Bahn to the dozen pond stop or the tram to the Doku-Zentrum stop. Both the parking lots and the camping areas will only open from around 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, “out of consideration for the residents”.

Rock am Ring was first held at the Nürburgring in 1985. In 2014, the event turned its back on the racetrack. After many years at the Nürburgring, the festival moved to the military airfield in Mendig in 2015, and returned to the Nürburgring in 2017. The various campsites have been open since Wednesday at 12 noon. According to the organizer, an earlier arrival is not possible. All campsites close at 12 noon on Monday 5 June. Festival shuttles run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special buses to the festival site start from Cologne and Koblenz.

The twin festivals usually have the identical acts, each performing on a different day. Around 70 bands are expected.

So holds the line up by Rock im Park on Friday (June 2) KIZ, Kings of Leon, Papa Roach, Evanescence or Kontra K. On Saturday, Machine Gun Kelly, Die Toten Hosen, Bring Me the Horizon, Sum 41 and Bullet for My Valentine will make Zeppelinfeld unsafe. Then on Sunday the Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit, Rise Against, Apache 207 or Giant Rooks are expected.

Sunday’s acts will play again at Rock am Ring on Friday. In addition, Rock-im-Park Friday becomes Rock-am-Ring Saturday and Rock-im-Park Saturday becomes Rock-am-Ring Sunday.

day tickets Rock am Ring is available from 99 euros, a “Weekend Festival Ticket” from 229 euros. In addition, there are various parking and camping passes. day tickets Rock im Park is also available from 99 euros (no parking or camping permission). The 3-day festival hard ticket including parking and general camping is available from 298 euros.

Last year, 75,000 festival visitors came to Nuremberg and 90,000 visitors to the Nürburgring.
