Robots made of Lego bricks – Economy

Machines are designed to relieve people of monotonous, hard and dirty work. Many young companies are working on such devices and the competition is fierce. One of them is Robco from Munich.

When Roman Hölzl, 30, talks about robots, everything sounds very easy. As if anyone could put together a robot like this and operate it, as if the gears, axes and clamps were Lego bricks. He likes to show photos of the box with the modules: They come in S, M and XL – small, medium and extra large, like in fashion. “We sell modules that can be put together to form robot arms. This means that around 60 different models can be put together,” says Hölzl. He is co-founder of the Munich-based robotics start-up Robco.
