Road through the Ebersberger forest temporarily closed – Ebersberg

Anyone who normally drives to work on State Road 2080 should look for a different route this Tuesday and Wednesday. In any case, the Wasserburg forestry company of the Bavarian State Forests advises this. The reason for this is tree felling along the route.

The forestry company is tackling the work together with the Ebersberg road maintenance department between Schwaberwegen and Ebersberg. On both days, short-term closures of the road are to be expected, according to the forestry company in a press release. A corresponding traffic light system and speed regulation have been set up. Significant traffic delays are to be expected on both days. The forest company recommends bypassing the section of the route.

The reason for this measure is the felling of unstable trees along the road. According to the forest company, dead branches and diseased trees pose a danger to road users. Branches could break off or trees could fall and injure people. Particular dangers would therefore have to be eliminated. As a rule, the trees are felled with a special machine.

According to the forestry company, the measure serves to restore road safety and cannot be postponed. Part of the wood remains ecologically effective as dead wood for nature in the stock. Due to the upcoming measure, the state road will remain safe to drive on in the future. The Wasserburg forestry operation is hoping for the understanding of those affected during the temporary road closure.
