Right-wing terror in Erlangen’s Ebrardstraße and an oppressive discovery – Bavaria

Of

Olaf Przybilla, Erlangen

Ebrardstraße in Erlangen is a place of German history and one that takes your breath away. On December 19, 1980, Shlomo Lewin and his partner Frida Poeschke were murdered there in their apartment, one of the most serious right-wing terrorist attacks in post-war history. There is no reasonable doubt that the perpetrator was active in the “Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann”. Not even about the motive: anti-Semitic motivated hatred of people. Lewin, publisher and former chairman of the Israelite religious community, fought passionately against neo-Nazi activities.
