Restructuring at Sächsische Zeitung: Madsack comes, jobs disappear – Media

Only in January, the publishing company Madsack bought the Dresden media group DDV and thus also took over the Saxon NewspaperAt the beginning of June, the paper got a new editor-in-chief, Annette Binninger, and now, a few weeks later, Madsack has announced a radical restructuring. One of the “largest regional editorial offices in Germany” is to be created. Saxon Newspaper with the Leipziger Volkszeitung merged to form a joint Saxony editorial team that works on the topics of state politics, regional economy, investigative work and reporting. The digital desk will also be managed in a consolidated manner in the future.
