Remove dog hair: It’s child’s play with these tips

At the latest when your beloved four-legged friend changes its fur, tufts of hair will spread throughout the apartment. We’ll tell you how to effectively remove stubborn dog hair.

The insidious thing about dog hair is that it is really attracted to textiles: Whether on the sofa or on clothing, on the carpet or in bed – your pet leaves its hairy traces everywhere. So that the unruly fur does not spread indiscriminately in the apartment, you should remove the annoying dog hair. We will tell you here which tips work best.

1. The carpet floor

An adult dog has an average of between 1,000 and 9,000 hairs per square centimeter all over its body. Just for comparison: a person has between 175 and 350 hairs per square centimeter on their head. So it’s hardly surprising why the four-legged friends lose so much hair at once – especially when they change their coat.

And they prefer to do this wherever they spend most of their time: i.e. in the entire apartment. While smooth floors are easy to clean, carpeting is a real hair magnet. Here comes even the strongest vacuum cleaner to its limits. For this reason there is a special animal hair nozzlewhich you can connect to almost all vacuum cleaners that have a round connection pipe. The essay is available here, for example

Tip: If you suffer from back problems, you should clean smooth floors as well as carpets while standing. You only need one for this Broom with rubber blades, which can be adjusted in height. The dog hair is removed by the static charge – the broom can then be easily cleaned under running water.

Whether they are allowed to or not, dogs are only too happy to curl up on the couch and leave tons of hair in their favorite spot – much to the chagrin of their owners. In contrast to a sofa cover made of (artificial) leather, which only needs to be wiped with a damp cloth, dog hair is difficult to remove from upholstered furniture with fabric covers. With the pet hair nozzle attachment mentioned above, you can clean large seating areas, but not cracks. Here is ahand vacuum cleaner the better choice, specially designed to remove pet hair. With his joint attachment it also gets into hard-to-reach places and narrow spaces. You can find the suction cup here, for example
