The insidious thing about dog hair is that it is really attracted to textiles: Whether on the sofa or on clothing, on the carpet or in bed – your pet leaves its hairy traces everywhere. So that the unruly fur does not spread indiscriminately in the apartment, you should remove the annoying dog hair. We will tell you here which tips work best.
Remove dog hair quickly and effectively
1. The carpet floor
An adult dog has an average of between 1,000 and 9,000 hairs per square centimeter all over its body. Just for comparison: a person has between 175 and 350 hairs per square centimeter on their head. So it’s hardly surprising why the four-legged friends lose so much hair at once – especially when they change their coat.

3. The clothes
Dogs love to be petted, and of course their owners are happy to oblige. The downside, however, is that after cuddling time, their clothes are covered in dog hair. More tips for hair-free clothing:
- If you have one dryer own, let the clothes “dry” in it for five minutes – this will get most of the dog hair into the fluff filter. This should then be cleaned (before the next use).

4. The car

5. The dog

Removing dog odors from textiles: this is how it works
Every dog owner knows that their four-legged friends have their very own smell, which sooner or later can sting the nose if it sticks to all textiles. It doesn’t matter whether in the apartment (among others in the bed, on the sofa, in the dog basket, on the carpet) or in the car – dog smells cannot be completely avoided. This is sometimes due to the following reasons:
- Dogs sweat from their paws, so it accumulates sweat in the places where the animals stay most often (eg in their dog bed or on the carpet).
- Produce the skin and ears of dogs tallow – the residues of it collect over time in the dog bed, on the couch or in the trunk.
