A growing trend: according to a recent survey by the National Sleep Foundation in the US, one in 10 couples sleep in separate rooms and almost one in four married couples sleep in separate beds.
Because of societal norms and how couples feel, sleeping together is a must, but many feel bad about it.
But separate sleeping places can make sense, because not enough sleep is of no help to anyone.
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Canada studied the consequences of lack of sleep.
So here are three reasons why couples can benefit from a sleep divorce:
