According to Frank Baumann, there will be no more winter transfers at Werder Bremen. Head coach Ole Werner would actually like to see reinforcements.

Bundesliga club Werder Bremen can actually be satisfied with the first half of the season so far. But after the 7-1 debacle, it’s not just the fans who are asking for reinforcements for the team.

When asked about possible newcomers, coach Ole Werner replied after the final whistle on Saturday evening: “We’ll talk about that internally.” A telling answer from the coach. He wants reinforcements, he made that clear recently.

Fans want a six

Werder fans are also asking for reinforcements, especially in defensive midfield. This wish of the supporters has actually been a tradition in the transfer windows for years. And most recently, defensive midfielder Christian Groß was the focus of criticism. Is manager Frank Baumann reacting now after the debacle?

No way. At least that’s how it currently looks. “One thing is the will, the other is the ability. I’ve said more than once that we can’t do anything more economically,” said Baumann on Sunday IMAGE.

Werner, on the other hand, doesn’t think much of the transfer stop, even if the financial situation doesn’t indicate otherwise: “It’s definitely a risk. I assume that other clubs behind us will take the economic risk again and strengthen their teams.”

In Bremen, however, nothing will happen anymore.
