In the trial against two men for child pornography before the Regional Court of Regensburg, the court, prosecution and lawyers withdrew on Tuesday shortly after the start of a legal discussion. A 57-year-old lawyer from Regensburg and a 54-year-old man from Berlin sit in the dock. The case against a 29-year-old was severed. The men are said to have been involved in the gang dissemination of photos and videos of the sexual abuse of children via an Internet platform. The 54-year-old defendant is also said to have seriously sexually abused an initially ten-year-old girl, his daughter’s girlfriend. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the accused acted as moderators and administrators in the Internet forum accessible via the Darknet. The 57-year-old is also said to have had almost 900,000 image files of sexual abuse stored on his computer. In the Internet portal he hid behind the name “Good Uncle” (good uncle).
