The State Secretary in the German Development Ministry is negotiating in New York and Washington about a far-reaching change in the World Bank. On the one hand, the goal is to enable poorer countries to get cheap money more easily. On the other hand, financial flows should be directed to where they are needed to combat the climate crisis.
