The TV evening created facts, albeit late. Now we know who will represent Germany at the ESC in Liverpool.

Again every week: ZDF’s thrillers attracted the most viewers on Friday evening at prime time. From 8:15 p.m., an average of 5.72 million people watched the episode “Unter Druck” from the series “Der Prosecutor” (19.9 percent), from 9:15 p.m. an average of 4.71 million (17.0 percent) watched the episode ” Ménage-à-trois” from the series “SOKO Leipzig”.

“Let’s Dance” kept up quite well in the battle for audience favor: the RTL dance show did not crack the 4 million mark again with the second regular episode. An average of 3.96 million viewers watched the almost four-hour show, which corresponded to 16.8 percent.

The ARD drama “Käthe and I: Friends Forever” reached 3.09 million (10.8 percent), ProSieben with the US comedy “Bad Spies” with Mila Kunis 1.13 million (4.1 percent). Sat.1 game show “My husband can – siblings special” 1.00 million (3.7 percent).

Vox also had 1.00 million viewers with the docu-soap “Goodbye Germany! Love to the end of the world” – but due to its shorter duration it had a reported market share of 3.6 percent.

The 2009 sci-fi action drama “Terminator – Die Erlution” got 780,000 people in front of the screen for RTLzwei (2.8 percent), the series “Navy CIS” also for Kabel eins (2.7 percent due to its shorter duration ).

From 10:20 p.m., an average of 1.98 million (11.3 percent) watched the Eurovision Song Contest preliminary decision “Our Song for Liverpool”, which was programmed late by ARD. The Hamburg dark rock band Lord of the Lost (“Blood & Glitter”) was chosen as the winner at around half past twelve in the morning.

To compare the TV quota: The “Today Show” from 10.30 p.m. on ZDF was watched by around 3.89 million (17.6 percent).
