It’s about knockout drops and sexual assault: allegations against the band Rammstein and singer Till Lindemann have been circulating online for days. Only the NDR and the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” tracked down other alleged victims. It’s all about this.

A tweet from a 24-year-old Irish woman on May 25 started things rolling. In it, the woman, named Shelby Lynn, claimed to have been given knockout drops backstage at a Rammstein concert in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, and then abused. She also published photos showing severe bruises on her body.

In other tweets, Lynn said she was approached by a woman named Aleena Makeeva and invited to Row 0, a cordoned off area directly in front of the stage. She also got access to the backstage area, Till Lindemann gave her a tequila there. The singer later assumed he was having sex with her. Lynn emphasizes that Lindemann did not touch or rape her.

Rammstein: Many women report similar experiences

In a short time, numerous other women spoke up on social networks and reported similar experiences at the band’s concerts. On Sunday, the band commented on the allegations – and denied everything: “Regarding the allegations about Vilnius circulating on the Internet, we can rule out that what is alleged has happened in our environment,” Rammstein posted on Twitter. “We are not aware of any official investigation into this.”

Now the research association of the NDR and the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” has raised further allegations against the band. In an article published on Friday, several young women report how they were apparently specifically recruited for sex with Till Lindemann. A woman says that access to the concert and after-show party is only available if you are interested in having sex with Lindemann.

The research association also has statements from two women who describe alleged sexual acts that they would not have consented to. A request for comment on the allegations by the star left the band unanswered.
