According to police, the investigation into the attack on Ghanaian children in Grevesmühlen is ongoing. The investigators are following up on leads – and expect that the investigation will take some time.

Following the alleged racist attack on two Ghanaian children in In Grevesmühlen (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) the police are following up on various leads.

A spokesman for the control center of the Rostock police headquarters told the German Press Agency that there were also clues about people who may have been involved in the crime. The investigations into the case are very extensive and will take some time. There were also indications that racist slogans were sung to the tune of Gigi D’Agostino at the town festival in Grevesmühlen (June 13 to 16).

According to earlier police reports, an eight-year-old girl and her two-year-older sister were attacked on Friday by a group of around 20 teenagers and adolescents. The attackers are said to have kicked the younger girl in the face, among other things. When the children’s parents arrived, police say they also got into an argument. The eight-year-old and her father suffered minor injuries.
