Pullach: Agenda calls for sustainable building – District of Munich

Does the municipality of Pullach ignore its decision to build sustainably in its own projects? The board will have to deal with this question at the municipal council meeting this Tuesday. The reason for this is a critical comment by the local agenda team on the award of the architect contract for the planned youth center, which is on the agenda. “Unfortunately, we do not find any award criteria for the planning and construction of the building in accordance with the principles of sustainable construction in the meeting documents available to the public,” says an Agenda 21 letter to the municipal council. Doubts are also expressed about a Munich architectural office mentioned in the proposed resolution, which – “as far as we can judge” – does not necessarily have the expertise in the field.

“We would like to remind you once again that the municipal council decided to join the Alliance of Sustainable Municipalities,” writes agenda spokesman Peter Kloeber. In addition, the integrated climate protection concept for Pullach was put into effect this year. The planned construction measures for the swimming pool, schools, station area and youth center were expressly included in the measures initiated by Agenda 21. The agenda calls for more than just commitments, resolutions and declarations of intent on sustainability.
