Public viewing at the final Germany vs. England – Munich

Nobody really expected them. The German national soccer players are actually in the final of the European Championship in the legendary Wembley Stadium against England. So there was no official public viewing in the whole city, only in the backstage club did they react to the success of the kickers and made the hall and the outdoor area available for watching football on the big screen. The rush is correspondingly large: around 500 fans in the hall and 100 in the outdoor area have gathered to watch the spectacle in pleasant summer temperatures. The fans, some of whom are dressed in German national team shirts – including many men – are treated to a balanced game up until the first half. Then the big shock at the beginning of the second half: goal for England, horror on the German faces. Big cheers after the equalizer in the 79th minute. But all hope and fear is in vain: The English win 2-1, disappointed German fans.
