The hammerhead shark is a soccer world champion: In “The Masked Singer” a sports star has to show his true identity. Before that, the moderators speculate cheerfully – especially about the legs.

A shark with familiar legs: soccer world champion Pierre Littbarski was exposed in the ProSieben show “The Masked Singer”. The 61-year-old was wearing a hammerhead costume in neon-colored diving gear.

Since the audience gave him too few votes on Saturday evening, the sports star had to reveal his true identity.

“Do you know how difficult it is to stand up straight?” Said the native of Berlin when he had removed his mask. “Littis” bow-legs were considered to be the crookedest in the Bundesliga at the time. In order not to be recognized under his huge shark mask in the music show, he had apparently consciously taken an unfamiliar posture.

This could cause some confusion for the advice team. Moderator Ruth Moschner (45) then trusted her good nose: “It’s Pierre Littbarski upstairs, someone else downstairs, I don’t know how you did it,” said Moschner.

Moderator Janin Ullmann (39) also suspected a footballer under the shark mask, but threw the name of the former Bundesliga star Ailton into the ring. Musician Rea Garvey (48) was rather at a loss and tipped Thomas “Hai-o” alias Hayo (52), who became known as a juror for “Germany’s next top model”, to enjoy the pun.

In “The Masked Singer”, well-known people sing under elaborate costumes and try to disguise their true identity. Littbarski has now been exposed as the second celebrity – last week, «Tagesschau» head spokesman Jens Riewa (58) had to take off his costume first.
