After a break for cancer treatment, Kate returned to the public eye for “Trooping the Colour” – all for her children?

Princess Kate (42) beamed away the carousel of thoughts surrounding her current cancer treatment during her appearance at the “Trooping the Colour” parade – but the concern remains. Although King Charles III (75) was Although Kate was happy about her participation in his birthday parade in London on Saturday, it can be assumed that she only put up with the public attention for her family and especially for her three children.

While father Prince William (41) and the royal siblings Prince Edward (60) and Princess Anne (73) traditionally took part in the military parade on horseback, Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) sat with their mother in the carriage behind Charles and Camilla’s golden vehicle. All eyes in Great Britain and around the world were on the British royal family at this moment.

She wants to protect her children

It seems more than understandable that Kate would want her three children to be close to her at the traditional and annual ceremony with more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians, as well as thousands of spectators and numerous television and photo cameras. In a video for “Trooping the Colour”, which recently appeared on the Instagram account by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate’s protective motherly role becomes clearly visible.

Dressed in a black and white suit and royal fascinator, she keeps a watchful eye on her three children in the clip and gently strokes her daughter Charlotte’s hair with her hand. The three royal offspring also appear visibly relieved and happy that their mother is with them while their father Prince William carries out his duties as heir to the throne.

Kate: “My treatment is still ongoing”

Kate had only one day before “Trooping the Colour” confirmed on social mediathat she would attend the royal military parade. However, she also explained that she has “good days and bad days” during chemotherapy: “On those bad days you feel weak and tired and you need to let your body recover. But on the good days when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling good.”

Despite taking part in the birthday parade in honor of her father-in-law, Kate warned that she still has a long way to go before she can return to normality. “My treatment is still ongoing and will take several months,” the princess wrote. She therefore thanked everyone for their “ongoing understanding.”
