February 14th is Valentine’s Day. While many women get red roses, Princess Kate doesn’t get her hopes up.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and February 14th is also leaving its mark on the British royals. Princess Kate, 41, chatted about the upcoming bank holiday during a visit to Kirkgate Market in Leeds. The mother of three stopped at a flower stand, where she spoke to the florist about his business and was given flowers.

No red roses?

Looking at Valentine’s Day the man said according to “People” magazine to her: “No doubt William will buy you some red roses.” According to the florist, Princess Kate replied: “I don’t think he will.” Princess Kate and Prince William have been married since 2011. The two have three children: Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4).

The owner of the flower stand said he also offered the princess a discount, according to the report. “I said I would give her a card and deduct the VAT,” said the florist, adding that he appreciated speaking to Kate, who “seemed very real.” Princess Kate then continued to stroll around the market, chatting with the vendors and talking to the visitors who were shopping. The 41-year-old also has a personal connection to the city: Her father, Michael Middleton (73), was born in Leeds.
