Her dress is recycled and spiced up

Princess Kate has often worn dresses multiple times. Her look at “Trooping the Colour” was also recycled.
For six months, the British and, it seemed, the whole world waited for the comeback of Princess Kate (42), who is suffering from cancer. At “Trooping the Colour” on June 15, everyone was waiting for her. And the wife of heir to the throne Prince William (41) looked dazzling – which was due not only to her perfect updo, the strong make-up and the famous Kate smile, but above all to her dress. What is remarkable is that for her big appearance back in public, she did not choose a new dress, but cleverly jazzed up an old one. That was certainly in the spirit of her father-in-law, King Charles III (75), who wants to streamline the monarchy and save costs.
Two details transformed the dress into a new look
The Princess of Wales appeared in her first public appearance this year in a white, knee-length dress with a sailor look. The pencil dress with long sleeves was designed by her favorite designer Jenny Packham, such as the Daily Mail reportedThe mother of three paired it with a large hat by Philip Treacy, white lace pumps by Jimmy Choo, a clutch by Mulberry and the pearl earrings “Cavolfiore” by Cassandra Goad, which retail for around 6,600 euros.
Royal observers quickly noticed that Kate had taken the outfit from her tried and tested wardrobe. She wore it the day before Charles’ coronation when she greeted people on London’s The Mall alongside William on May 5, 2023. At the time, however, it was much more inconspicuous. For the King’s birthday parade, it was simply jazzed up with a few details. It was given a new look with a large black and white bow on the side collar and a new, wider black and white waistband. Both of these also gave the simple dress a maritime touch.
The family as a fashion concept
The three children were also dressed to match. While Princes George (10) and Louis (6) wore navy blue double-breasted blazers with gold buttons, Princess Charlotte (9) was once again the future queen’s fashionable mini-me. She wore a dark blue sailor-style dress with white details.
However, some viewers also thought of a famous film. When they heard X, they drew a parallel to Audrey Hepburn’s (1929-1993) role as Eliza Doolittle in the 1964 film adaptation of “My Fair Lady”. She also wore a white dress with striking black and white decorations.
