Princess Anne is said to have little memory of the exact circumstances following the accident on her estate.

Princess Anne (73) reportedly cannot remember details of the alleged blow to the head by a horse. The sister of King Charles III (75) is still in hospital, reports the British newspaper “Daily Mail”. She suffered a concussion and injuries in the accident.

Husband Timothy Laurence accompanied her to the hospital

The princess was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol on Sunday evening after she was reportedly struck in the head by a horse’s head or leg while out for a walk on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire. The passionate horse rider is awake and conscious, but she “cannot remember exactly what happened,” the report said. All that is known so far is that horses were nearby at the time of the accident. Her wounds could be the result of an “impact” with an animal, according to her medical team.

She was initially treated on site and then taken to the hospital, which is the largest trauma center in the region. Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall (43) and her son Peter Phillips (46) were on the property at the time of the accident, along with her husband Timothy Laurence (69), who accompanied the princess to the hospital.

Canada trip cancelled

In a statement, Buckingham Palace announced the incident on June 24. It said: “Her Royal Highness remains at Southmead Hospital, Bristol, for observation as a precautionary measure and is expected to make a full and speedy recovery. The King has been fully informed and joins the entire Royal Family in sending the Princess his warmest love and all the best for a speedy recovery.”

Princess Anne, who has been doing most of the royal family’s appointments for years, is now out of action for the time being. Her trip to Canada starting Thursday has been cancelled. However, she is expected to be discharged from hospital this week.
