Princess Anne and Duchess Kate will have their first official appearance together next week.

Princess Anne (71) and Duchess Kate (40) have of course often stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with other high-ranking royals to admire the annual military parade “Trooping the Color” in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday (96). . But a highly official appointment, which only the two completed on behalf of the queen, did not exist yet. Until now.

The Queen’s daughter and the wife of the Queen’s grandson Prince William (39) will visit two midwifery organizations in London next week, of which they are patrons. Princess Anne has overseen the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) for 20 years, while the Duchess of Cambridge has overseen the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) since 2018.

During their visit on Wednesday (April 27), the two royals will also have a roundtable discussion with experts from the industry and new mothers.

Initiative of the “New Firm”

As “Mail Online” further reports, the Princess Royal – as they are officially titled – and the Duchess are part of the “New Firm” founded by the Queen. In addition to the two, this also includes Prince William, Prince Edward (58) and his wife Countess Sophie (57). These royal family representatives will work more closely together both in person and virtually.

The “New Firm” was founded after Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) announced that they would retire from their roles as high-ranking royals.
