Prince William and his wife Kate are said to have offered their help to a panel they visited in the autumn. There was a break-in.

Generous gesture from Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41): They are said to have offered to replace food and other donated items that were stolen from a church in Wales in early June. The British heir to the throne only visited the affected St. Thomas Church in Swansea in September 2022.

Kate and William have offered “their love and support”.

The Rev. Steven Bunting reported in an interview with “ITV News” from the incident. The church usually opens its doors to distribute food and donated items, such as bicycles and toys, via a plaque. When they visited in September, Kate and William described the plaque as a “lifeline” for people in need. But all the groceries were stolen in a burglary last weekend.

The Prince and Princess of Wales contacted the parish “to offer us their love and support,” the vicar said. “They would like to replace the food that was stolen. They want that very much.” Bunting assumes that the thief is a previous, desperate visitor to the table.

The board has been around for seven years

“If someone had come in and said, ‘I’m absolutely desperate, I need £20’, it would have been easier for us to give it to them,” the vicar explained according to a report by the “Daily Mail”.. He added: “Someone has to be desperate to think that a plaque is the best thing to steal from.”

Local residents have already donated to the church after the fact. “For every bad deed there are 10, 20 good ones, often anonymous, it’s incredibly heartwarming,” said Rev. Bunting. The St. Thomas Church has been running the table for around seven years, supporting up to 200 people.
