Cressida Bonas, who was in a relationship with Prince Harry from 2012 to 2014, has published an emotional letter to her late sister.
“My beloved sister”
She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 26. Since then, she has fought against various types of cancer for decades. On August 4, her family announced the sad news that Pandora Cooper-Key had died from the effects of an inoperable brain tumor. One day later, Cressida Bonas came forward with a lengthy statement on her Instagram pagewhich highlights their great loss.
Addressing the deceased, Prince Harry’s ex writes, among other things: “I will look for you in my dreams, where you say ‘Hi Smally’ and tell me where you were. Then one day I will remember that on one of your last days you said: ‘I don’t know what all the fuss is about, I’m not going anywhere…'” She will realize “that I never had to look for you. You were by my side the whole time, because my beloved sister, my heart is forever connected to yours.”
The 35-year-old published eight photos of the deceased with the letter. Four of them show the two women, who have a mother in common, together in a friendly manner, hugging or smiling at each other. In four photos, the deceased can be seen alone, at work, with dogs and on the beach.
She suffered from various types of cancer for half her life
Pandora Cooper-Key suffered from Li-Fraumeni syndrome. The rare condition increases the risk of developing various types of cancer. At the age of 26, she was diagnosed with Paget’s disease. She then underwent a bilateral mastectomy. Eight years later, just weeks after the birth of her first child, she was diagnosed with sarcoma in her left eye and sinus area. At the time, doctors told her she had ten months to live. In 2016, she suffered several epileptic seizures, which sometimes left her unconscious for a week. Nevertheless, the artist, who previously worked as a handbag designer for Vivienne Westwood, still started a ceramics business in 2022.
