Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will be in the UK twice in September. Will they meet up with Queen Elizabeth, William and Kate?

Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (41) will come to Great Britain and Germany in early September. The British media reported on Monday, citing a spokesman for the couple.

The two are expected to attend the One Young World Summit in Manchester on September 5th. At its opening ceremony, Meghan will give the main speech. Afterwards, on September 6th, we will continue to Düsseldorf, where the Invitus Games 2023 are planned. The state capital Düsseldorf has now also confirmed this date on its website. The couple then travels back to the island for the WellChild Awards ceremony in London on September 8th. Here Harry will be the keynote speaker.

Will there be another meeting with the Queen?

It is not known, however, whether Harry and Meghan will take their children, Archie (3) and Lilibet (1), back to Europe. The same applies to any meetings with other royals. The “Express” reportsthat meeting the Queen is “unlikely” because the “monarch is currently spending her annual summer break in Balmoral, Scotland”.

“Mail Online” is a bit more optimistic, but also reports: “The reports that the Queen invited Harry and Meghan to Balmoral have never been confirmed, so it would only make sense that they would meet when the Queen is in Windsor and the two are in Frogmore,” the royal expert said Richard Fitzwilliams quoted.

No meeting between Harry and William

On the other hand, the newspaper sees black for a meeting between Meghan, Harry, his brother Prince William (40) and his wife Duchess Kate (40), although they will probably not live far apart in September.

The Duke of Cambridge and his family are moving to Adelaide Cottage, just a 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle, later this month. And if the Sussexes stay at their home, Frogmore Cottage, in the Windsor grounds during their stay in the UK, it would be just a five-minute walk to the Cambridges.

However, a source said the Sussexes’ visit will be focused on “supporting several charities close to their hearts” and they have no plans to see the Cambridges.

Recent Meetings

Most recently, the ducal couple traveled to their old home from their adopted home of California in June 2022 for the platinum throne anniversary of Harry’s grandmother. At that time they had also met with the Queen and introduced her to their daughter Lilibet, who was born in the USA.

Harry and William have not seen each other in person since the unveiling of a statue of their mother Princess Diana (1961-1997) in the summer of 2021.

The book

A book release hangs like a sword of Damocles over Harry and Meghan’s visit to the UK. Because this takes place just a few weeks before the publication of Harry’s book, which is expected for October, written by the Pulitzer Prize-winning ghostwriter JR Moehringer (57). According to the publisher, it should be “a first-hand account of his life”, “accurate and completely truthful”.
